Overview

#FFFFFF

The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) organizational chart displays a structure which includes three members who are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate for a term of four years. A Director manages the staff and daily operations of the PUC. Staff members have specialized knowledge in engineering, economics, law, finance, support or management. The PUC organizational chart displays the following work units below the Division Director: Public Safety Unit, Policy Unit, Fixed Utilities Unit, and Administrative Law Judges. Each of the units, with the exception of the Administrative Law Judges unit, is led by a Deputy Director. The Administrative Law Judges unit is led by a Chief Administrative Law Judge. Each unit displays various work sections as listed below. The chart also displays the Attorney General's Office as containing Policy Counsel and Fixed Utilities Counsel. Units and sections are described in more detail on the Organization page of the PUC website at the following URL: https://puc.colorado.gov/pucorganization. Not displayed on the chart is the External Affairs Unit that resolves complaints between customers and regulated utility companies and serves as the agency spokesperson through publications and community outreach.
