While the authority of the Federal Transit Administration Regulations extends to RFG systems which have received or are receiving federal funds under the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act, Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century, Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act -A Legacy for Users, Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century, Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act, the Colorado Statute grants the state safety oversight authority to RFG systems operating within the state, whether receiving federal funds or not.
