Community Rail Safety Advisory Committee

The Community Rail Safety Committee consists of seven members, appointed as follows: 
 

  • Paul Pearson - Serves as an individual representing union workers who work for a Class I freight rail line
     
  • Carl Smith - Serves as an individual representing union workers who work for a Class I freight rail line
     
  • Jake Hamlin - Serves as an individual representing union workers who work for a Class II or III Railroad
     
  • Ric Johnson - Serves as an individual representing union workers who work for a Passenger Rail operator
     
  • Tanya Acker - Serves as an individual representing a disproportionately impacted community
     
  • Elena Santarella - Serves as an individual representing an organization with a mission to collaborate with environmental organizations and union representatives
     
  • Ean Tafoya - Serves as an individual representing statewide environmental organization.

Rail Industry Safety Advisory Committee

The Rail Industry Safety Committee consists of nine members, appointed as follows:
 

  • Nathan Anderson - Serves as an individual representing operators of Class I railroads operating freight rail lines
     
  • Andy Williams - Serves as an individual representing operators of Class I railroads operating freight rail lines
     
  • Mike Ogborn - Serves as an individual representing operators of Class III railroads operating freight rail lines
     
  • Stewart Visser - Serves as an individual representing first responders
     
  • Tom Baumgarten - Serves as an individual representing first responders
     
  • Alexander Khaflin - Serves as an individual representing operators of a passenger rail line
     
  • Scott Bookman - Serves as an individual with expertise concerning rail safety, rail operations, emergency response, and transportation regulation
     
  • John Putnam - Serves as an individual with expertise concerning rail safety, rail operations, emergency response, and transportation regulation
     
  • Sean Schlessman - Serves as an individual with expertise concerning rail safety, rail operations, emergency response, and transportation regulation.
