Welcome to the Public Utilities Commission

The Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC) serves the public interest by effectively regulating utilities and facilities so that the people of Colorado receive safe, reliable, and reasonably-priced services consistent with the economic, environmental and social values of our state.

DORA Public Utilities Commission offices are open by appointment only. Appointments must be made no later than 3:00 pm the day prior to the appointment. Beginning January 3, 2022: Appointments regarding transportation permitting, insurance or other matters are available on Mondays from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Appointments regarding customer complaints about energy, water, telecommunications or transportation service are available on Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Appointments regarding energy, water or telecommunications matters other than customer complaints are available on Fridays from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
